* Ebony fingerboard with Abolone inlay on a Maple Neck
* 2 Fender Single coil Pickups
* 1 Seymour Duncan Pickup that provides both a Single coil and Humbucking option
with its own toggle switch.
This one has a Flame Maple top with a Chambered Mahogany Body visible in the "F" hole.
2 Fender Texas Special Single coils with a Seymour Duncan
"Peraly Gates" Humbucker in the bridge position that he designed for Fender Guitars.
"Jim Schmidt of JLS Guitars and I dialed the design of my guitar to exactly the way I wanted it. The ebony fret board is a huge bonus. The thin Humbucker in the neck position allows me to get a nice fat sound for playing octaves and block chords. Once I split the coil, the guitar is transformed back to all single coils including the out of phase Stratocaster style sounds. So I have the "best of all worlds" here with this guitar. And finally to my surprise, this guitar stays in tune when you use the vibrato bar! It's Jim's secret on how he has developed this.
Now that is so cool!
